Help! I am in a great game: 5000+ civ score, but suddenly, from one turn to the other, my civ rating gets from 326% to -324% and then keeps on getting "higher" (-318%, -309%...). I have stopped my techs at 255 and I think it might be related wih too much units, and/or with too much gold(in civ1, getting more than 30 000 $ was problem that gave you 0 $ the following turn). Can someone please help, I really want to finish this game...

That sounds like the old civ1 problem, never seen it in civ2.

I have never seen a negative Civ II rating

As far as I know, Civ 2 will not register a negative score. try it. set barbarians on villages only, then disband your settler. it should technically be negative due to the -25 score. but it remains at 0%.

Thanx Surf Wax America, your idea is helpfull, but the problem is that I don't wan't to restart a whole game... I am already playing and since turn 1977, my score stays at about 5000, but the rating gets negative! Please someone help!

Specification:

My civ SCORE has no problem... about 5400 or so...

My Civ RATING has a big problem... -324 % instead of 326 % one turn before! And my title goes the same way: At 326 %, I was Genghis Khan the Magnificient and at -324%, I am Genghis Khan the "unmeaningfull" something like this(at the bottom of the chart).

Well it really isn't a big problem I had the same error in an earlier version of Civ2 but I fixed it by upgrading my version - I remember my first HoF game was played with that version and I tipped over once and got negative scores and then worked my way up again and tipped once more...... <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

Sniper?..........

Who plays civ for a score anyway? A good game is a good game regardless of what the silly score at the end of the game says.

Just shrug and move on!
