Negative combat strength?

I was going to try this myself via Hotseat, but messed up and wasn't motivated enough to try again. With some combination of negative combat strength modifiers – the strategic resource penalty (-50%), extreme unhappiness, and perhaps a few other (attacking from water?) – could you possibly achieve 0 or negative combat strength for a unit, either for the attacker or defender? What would 0 strength vs 0 strength do?

Anyway, then I figured I'd post here to see if anyone's tried it already or wants to and share with the rest of us. If I get around to it before anybody else wants to, I'll update this topic. If nothing else, you could end up with some great screenshots (say, a Scout about to attack a Modern Armor for 10 damage while taking 1 itself).

An easy way to get two times 50% penalty is with a defending Lancer without a horse. I don't know if that results in 0 defence or a 75% defence penalty.

I don't know how to get that big an attack penalty though, Polynesian war dance gives 10% penalty.

If you can get a 0 atack and 0 defence I suspect they act like workers and settlers, can't attack and just get killed if attacked.

For Modern Armor:
Strategic resource penalty -50%
Open terrain penalty -10%
Unhappiness penalty -33%
polynesian.. -10%

Sums up to -103%?

Wouldn't fighting in a marsh or an oasis bring the terrain penalty to -15%? Or fallout.

Lancers definitely seem like they'd do the trick.

Rex, all modifiers in Civ V are additive, not multiplicative.
