@ The blasts-texture... It does look a bit better than wht i had. But i am still not convinced - it does not show in the screenshot, but somehow these static blasts look odd in a animated BG.

I tried it out, and I agree. The screenshot doesn't look too bad, but if you watch the animation it covers a whole night/day transition, in which time the blasts should change. Good thought, but I think I will keep the existing mushroom cloud splash screen for now.
 
Hmmm, SeZereth texture does look quite crisp in Photoshop.

Maybe, that by the nature of the "fix" i applied vs. the darkness issue, some texture detail is lost (because the material is set to nearly white emissive color).
If so i am not sure how to fix it better right now :(

Yes, there is an existing splash screen and load screen since version 0.4. See directory Assets/Art/Screens. This is linked from XML/Art/CIV4ArtDefines_Interface.xml in the MAINMENU_LOAD_BTS and MAINMENU_SCENE keywords. Are there other keywords which I should update so that you see the splash screen?
 
Honestly, i have no idea...

This might have something to do with BTS allowing you to switch menu BG's... So if i have set to use the "wrong" BG for the unmodded game, it somehow translates to the Mods i am using... I dont really know...

Perhaps it can be fixed in the Mod's INI, so the proper BG is loaded ?
 
I can reproduce your problem, can you reproduce this solution?

In the options menu, graphics tab, there is a dropdown "Opening Menu". Mine has selected the bottom option, "Beyond The Sword". When I select the top option, "BTS Classical" and then load Fury Road, I see a default loading screen instead of the Fury Road loading screen. I guess that uses different xml tags to decide what to load.

I am guessing that you have "BTS Classical" selected. If you select the bottom option, "Beyond the Sword" and then load Fury Road, do you see the bright orange/yellow/red mushroom cloud now?

Yes.
As long as the pathways are not adjusted in xml, people choosing the Warlords or Civ4 splash screen will see the normal screens, not the Fury Road one.

Another way is to copy and rename your Fury Road splash screen file so they 'override' the other 3 splashscreens.

Still in long term it would be nice to force the right menu to appear - many users out there, who knows what BG they are using...

Or, if someone has time to kill, have three different opening menus... this might be hard, but wrecked versions of all three opening menus would be awesome. (The BTS menu would be a torn-apart version of the Apolostic [sp?] Palace under a blood-red sky, the Civ IV menu would be the nuked planet earth Refar has been working on, the Warlords menu would feature a post-apocolyptic general and his ragged hordes.)

Ha-ha! You can no longer escape the Fury Road Loading Screen ... Of Death!

Use this CIV4ArtDefines_Interface.xml instead of the one in the current 0.8 version, and you will see the loading screen regardless of which opening screen choice you have made.

i am almost done with fort and watchtower :D
therefore i will lost some sleep ;)
you will get it tomorrow, depending on how much there is to do in the lab :P
 
here is the fort. I think Refar should be more than capable to extract the watchtower from it and present it to you ;)

I actually enjoyed working on this project, but with my spare time getting thinner, I have to focus, and FfH became something very personal for me ;)

And btw :mischief:. The fort looks great - very detailed. I scavenged the tower it, as you suggested.

How you did the shadow ? painted ? because i cant get thet "fuzzy" look from baking.
