OK it looks like we have our seven - substituting Pontiuth Pilate for col. Erikk I shaill designate you first alternate, if ANYBODY nmr's spring 1901, you will replace them and given some time to negotiate.

I still need some e-mail addresses - I have barron's and Bill's and Pilate's and I may have old addy's for kitten and toasty.

I like barron's name suggestion, so the game will launch the evening of June 6 in honor of D-Day's 60th anniversay.

It'd be nice to check in again with all the players to make sure we all remember this thread Also, should we submit prefs for countries, and should we cc diplomacy mail to you?

Country preferences are by the Game Master's whim.

I suppose one could ask. One could also expect that one would not get what one asks for.

I myself by pm mentioned a slight preference based on my most recent experience, but it is entirely in the lap of the gods, or game master. As far as I know we are not submitting preferences, at least not with any expectation of those preferences having any effect.

I intend to send copies of my correspondence to the other players to the GM. Why not? It increases his opportunity to enjoy his game, by understanding, sort of, what is going on in our minds, or at least what we tell people is going on in them. If we all do so, the after action reports, if any, could be much more interesting. And GMing is kind of a thankless job, this is one easy way to possibly help make it more interesting for the GM.

I will take prefs if you wish to submit them but I would rather you give me a country or two you really NOT want to play and leave the rest up to me. Sometimes a player gets stuck playing the same country a lot and maybe they are sick of it.

I'd prefer names in one hat, countries in another and a random draw undertaken.
