New Colonies III (v3.2) PBEM

Well fine then I choose the Sioux, and you all can raze all the hard work I put into the Iroquois. :( I'll play one or two more turns as them though to get their troops into position.

Don't you DARE compare me to... ah let's keep this civil. :D

I'll let you take the city you were just about to take (forgot the name), but after that you'll have to fear the full might of the Sioux Nation.

Manufactures have been sent to the Iroquois.....but our Merchants were so shabbily mistreated that the Governor of New England resolved to punish the miscreants! ;)

The Iroquois settlements of White River and Green Hills have been razed, and English colonists have set up their own houses and stockades where the native lodges had stood.

Some local Dutchmen, friendly to the Indians and not knowing of the reasons for British action, have fired on some of our men - but fortunately no damage was done. We urge the Dutch authorities to inform their citizens that England and Holland are not at war...

[OK guys, I guess my warmongering streak got ahold of me! Again...;) Now, in one Colonies game I'm in, we have a rule of no sneak attacks. I don't THINK we do in this game, but if I'm wrong, I will post again with no attack - but a declaration of war on the Iroquios instead. Please let me know. As Daruis is controlling the Sioux now - or soon will be - maybe you don't care anyway....?]

John doesn't bother me.

And whats this about the Dutch firing on you? Is that for real or just to add color? We have no war between us and Id like to keep it that way.:D

What?!? I said before I wanted 1-2 more turns to get their asses in gear before the AI takes over, and you attack me now? Very 'patient'. ;) Well I won't complain, guess I'll just pick off a few units this turn and then make the switch.

Hell I don't care, I never really understood why you made that rule anyway , sneak attacks are a part of real life and a part of civ.

BTW the thread was too long to find the relevant posts on that rule. Same goes for the agreement to let Holland survive and the special terrain Chris seems to have; do you remember by chance when all this stuff was discussed?

Darius,

All that stuff was probably in the Poly thread before the CivFan thread before the Poly thread. I don't remember. Sorry if I jumped the gun, but as you say, sneak attacks are part of it. I am prepared to replay the turn if people think I should have given you more time. As you say though, you are about to abandon the Iroquois Confederacy for a Civ a bit further from those aggressive Europeans, so I didn't think you'd care.

(Basically, I just had a rush of blood to the head and thought it would be more fun to fight the savages while they were human-controlled!)

The bit about the Dutch Steve, was simply to reflect the AI Dutch declared war on me when I attacked the Iroquois. I know we are not really at war!

Unfortunately we can not undo the unfortunate misunderstanding between the Ducth and English in the New World. A new ambassador with a better attitude towards the English has been appointed and hopefully next turn we can end the undeclared war.

Amsterdam Manufacturerers dazzle to soon to be dead Indians in Great Lodge.:D

Hi guys!!
I´m back and ready to retake command of Spain :)

It seems war has come just a few turns too early for the Iroquois to be prepared. Regardless, a revised version of Operation Kill Whitey has been put into effect, with great successes reported from Big Water to Seminole Bay.

- One detachment of French Arquebusiers slaughtered on a riverbed northeast of Pont Natchez.
- One detachment of French Pikemen and an unknown unit slaughtered west of Choctaw Ridge.
- One Musq. a Cheval detachment and one battery of French Demi-Culverins both destroyed northeast of Wood Lake.
- Trees around Seminole Bay are decorated with the scalps of Spanish colonists from Boca Raton.
- One detachment of Dutch Pikemen slaughtered east of Creek Lake.
- Hundreds of Dutch slaves northeast of Van Den Hoop and south of Fort Casimir slaughtered.
- We had the first priviledge of razing a white city, as Puerto Juarez now lays in ashes. All the men were mercilessly slaughtered, and all the women and children are being raised at Timuca Falls as our own. :D

This is just a taste of what the foreign aggressors will experience when our grand army arrives from the East, where they were intended to conquer the Sioux...

Good job Darius!

First of all the Dutch did NOTHING to you. Second of all we had an "understanding".

Thanks, now I will know NOT to trust you in the future.

And you can kiss your sweet Soiux arse goodby too!:p

Ahem, we usually aren't too excited about stacks of Dutch artillery directly adjacent to our camps. You were certainly ABOUT to do something, and you will now reap the whirlwind.

Besides, we all know that when the Iroquois are given to the AI you'll all hack them apart, so I'm not betraying you in any way by attacking for the last few turns I have them. :p
