Hello,

I have a new copy (still in its shrink wrap etc.) of Sid Meier's Civilization II. Given this copy is from 1996 and the game is very popular indeed, do you ever think it would be worth anything? If so how much? Since all I see ebay Civilization II games going for, is 1 or 2 dollars/pounds etc.

Thanks.

I don't think it would be worth much, but who knows.

If you look at the bottom of this page, you'll see that somebody already sells it for $5, so I don't think it's worth much. But since you say it's from 1996 maybe you can get more for it if you find someone interested in one of the "original" discs.

But why would you want to sell your copy of this incredible game?

Thanks for the replies. It's still in it's old retail box, sealed in plastic/shrink wrap etc. So I was thinking of selling it or keeping it for a few years more and then selling it if the value has increased. But if it won't sell for much, I may open the game, after 9 years, and play it

By all means, play it. Alternatively, you can buy it on e-bay for $5 or so, and save your antique for future appreciation. I think civ II is still the best game.
