The Russian Army surrenders at Kiev to the German Commander Moltke, Slappy is out of the country at the time on business...buying a new home in Peru!
Italian forces hold the line, but the country cannot maintain so many men under arms, the people need butter, the soldiers guns and ammunition!
Turkish forces seize Sevastopole, in contrast to the Crimean War this was done at lightening speed.
Security for France as Tunis is held and more Frenchmen and Colonials can be armed so offering a home guard.
More furious German expansion, however the time is approaching where they may meet well-armed and favourably positioned foes..the days of easy victory may be over.

A big thank you to 'Oh Slappy' for his spirited effort in taking the helm of Russia after the Barrons departure. The volume of his diplomatic correspondances was impressive
