New fantasy unit: Neptune - god of the seas.

xghost - his trident isn't green. It's brown (or atleast it was made brown... propably some palette mixup has changed it to green). Or for your convinience, think of the green stuff as an exotic metal. Or as oxidated bronze if you like.

And here's the missing units_32.pcx (32x32x256) file. :D

Hey, if you do plan to make Jesus, could you make some Aztec/Mayan gods and Hindu gods as well? Those are my favorite, being (in my opinion) much more exotic than the Greek and Roman gods. :D Just a thought, not a demand.

I'm sorry that I didn't quite meet your idea of Neptune. I'm so sorry. Can you forgive me, please.

Who says that Neptune has a beard? Who has actually seen him? Oh, come on, this is only a game. :p

and who here has seen jesus?, you to only know his apperence by how it is described, and i'm sure Neptune wont mind-given that you give him Godlly stats in the game of course....;)

btw:"Who says that Neptune has a beard?"
- only every single statue/scriptur/fresco/painting/art of any kind of antiguity depicting him...thats who....:)

That doesn't mean anything. Who's to decide all those artists are correct?

Well anyway, it doesn't matter. It's all only details. ;)

Can we please see/download this Civilopedia entry you have so long labored on creating, Gothic Legion? I'm to lazy to work on my own, and I think some other people dowloading this may be as well. :D

Why does Neptune have a green trident? I thought it was supposed to be made of some rare metal or something along those lines. Or has it just rusted over time? :D

it is one of 2 things

1. seaweed has wrapped itself around his trident

2. Neptune was painting his bathroom green and got paint all over trident

This unit wasn't to hard to add on. It was the Red Dragon and A10 with the long descriptions, anyways here is what it says.

Neptune, Poseidon drew the sea as his lot when the gods were dividing kingdoms. This suited him just fine, and he quickly took the reigns of his realm. He married the Nereid (sea goddess) Amphitrite by sending an ambassador, Delphinus, to ask her hand.
She accepted, and Poseidon put Delphinus's image in the stars (the Dolphin). The images of Poseidon resemble those of Zeus, and his manner is close to his brother's also. He could not resist a beautiful female (or male). His lust led to the fateful house of Pelops,
and also the myth of Theseus. Poseidon was strangely associated with horses, and with Demeter produced the awesome mare Arion, and with Medusa the mystical winged-stallion Pegasus. The dolphin was obviously another favorite.

as taken from greek myth site.

the priests would be a good start, being the reresentitives of that god...but then christianity mis-represents thier jesus all the time...

Well, how would you know that, hmm? ;)

because my friend is a jehovas witness, and he says that most churches portray jesus according to how they see fit, not according to discriptions of him, but then i'm not a cristian(i use this as a broad term, including all faiths that branched off from it)

ermm... can anyone think of a more generic name for this unit?

perhaps water spirit, or elemental(elementle?) is more appropriate, i would certainlly feel better about the world if i could get it out of my head that someone might be enjoying the perverse pleasuer of killing a representaion of one of my gods
