New game trouble

Recently When i try to start a new game in any way the game crashes! I think it has somthing to do with too many save files.(When I first started playing I didn't know what i was doing and didn't overwrite) any suggestions?

PS I have normal Civ 3 without any patches or expansions

Hi Ninjatrey, and welcome to CFC!

First off, I think it is best if you patch your game - you can get the latest patch for regular (or "Vanilla") Civ3 here. The latest patch for Civ3 is 1.29f. Install that (save to your desktop and then run it), and then see if you still have this problem. If so, get back to us and we'll go from there.

I installed the patch but it says insert the disk whenever i try to play

Hmm...check out the steps here. Are you sure you downloaded the Civ3 version, and for the correct language?
