Seems OK to me... It pushes the B back to just one diagonal (h4-d8 instead of both h4-d8 and c1-h6). Maybe weakens black's kingside a bit though. I'm not sure...

Well, you need to look for a plan in this position. One typical idea is to play for b5, gaining space on the queenside. White usually prevents this via a4, and then black can often force it through a6, Rb8, etc. a5 kind of puts a stop to this plan... although there may be other plans available.

King's Indian can get incredibly complex! It's a hard opening to play, for both sides...
