Ok, what year did Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabella of Castile marry and together unify Spain? This one is a bit easy, but umm... yea.

i thought the year was 1492 for the ferdinand question, but AB is probably right

bah, but i know few of your obscure historical facts, but here are some easier ones

give the rough estimates of casualty figures for-

-napoleons russian campaign (french side)
-american civil war (both sides combined)
-gettysburg (N+S combined)
-japanese w.w. ONE casualties
-stalingrad (russians)
-iwo jima (american and japanese seperately)
-american vietnam tally

lets hear it!

Its not that easy!

1. ~400,000 - He came back with 70,000 troops remaining IIRC
2. 150,000? - IIRC America lost more men in this war then all the 20th century wars combined, or maybe just more people in this war than any other war.
3. 50,000 - Both lost somewhere around 20-25,000
4- I have no clue so I'll go with ~0
5. 1 million . IIRC the largest battle (in loss of life) ever.
6- 6,500-American, 20,000 - Japanese
7. 48,000

God,

1. correct, for the most part
2. wrong figure
3. correct, 53000+
4. wrong
5. yes, and germans lost many, many too
6. WAAAAY OFF (jk;))
7. i thought it was 58k, so your 'in the ballpark'

heres an easy one, what was the name of the incident that started the first world-wide war, and who started the incident?

Too easy- Assasination of Arch Duke Ferdinand of Austria by some member- can't remember the name- of the Black Hand, a terrorists/freedom fighter group in Serbia.

Emperor Wudi ruled the Han dynasty. I don't remember the exact dates, but it was about a 15 year reign around 210 BC. Am I close at least?
President McKinley was assassinated by Leon Colcycz, who claimed he was inspired to assasinate the president after hearing a speech. Who delivered this speech?

Just a confirmation, yup. ;) Though the date's earlier by more than a century. In 210 BC, the first empire just got established - the Qin. After they fell, the Han spent the first few decades building up their strength and appeasing the nomads before going on the offensive during Han Wudi's reign.

Sidenote - main reason the Han penetrated into the far west - to get the fabled 'blood-sweating' horses of Ferghana for their use in the army (for deployment against the Xiongnu). The Wudi emperor was extremely interested in them, after hearing report fr an envoy who spent decades going there and returning (and captured twice by the Xiongnu during the process).

Sorry God, but you're WRONG! i did not ask for who started the First World War, but "the first world-WIDE war." Any more takers?

Britain and france fighting in N.America/S.America/Europe/India and Jarkarta started in the late 1700's finished with napoleons deafeat at waterloo?

Seven Years war came before that and it is sometimes considered the first World War. Fought in Europe, Asia and America, that I know off.

good, now you guys got the right war, now what (and who) STARTED the seven years war?

George washington started the war when his small force attacked and defeaed a reconnaissance party of French and Indians near Fort Duquesne. He was then forced to withdraw and was surronded and captured at fort Necessity

Frederick 2 of Prussia invaded Saxony, after cuttin a treaty with
George ?? of England. The fightin in NA started earlier as the
French & Indian war.
