This map/scenario includes a large map, suitable for 8 or more players.
It contains large mountain ranges and navigable rivers. These rivers not only provide
water highways for shipbuilding nations, but also are important dividers of lands, since land units can only cross
at certain points.
NOTE: The scenario is designed to restrict rampant expansionism until later in the game, and to increase the value of rivers.
-Settlers are "wheeled" and cannot cross mountain spaces without a road.
-The first ships are only available with the discovery of Astronomy.
-Cities without a fresh water source can only reach a size of 4.
-Cities WITH a fresh water source can reach an initial size of 14.
-Aqueducts cannot be built before Engineering, and are more expensive.
It is hoped that these "distortions" will lead to a world with initially smaller, more densely populated nations, while new lands grow important later in the game.
ALSO: There is no Uranium on the map. Feel free to add it if you wish.
