Whoo-hoo!

Ok, but if I install this now is it going to mess up my tourney saved-game? Hrm...

You should be able to load an old saved game. One note, though -- some bugs may reoccur in old saved games and only will be truly fixed in newly-created games. This in particular may happen with items like the bug which caused unit support costs to be zero.

Has anyone actually downloaded the patch yet?

I have tried three times and have either a) got so far, then stopped--'waiting for data'; or, b) not been able to commence the download.

The list of fixes is very impressive…

Thank you Nate!

Gee, so I'll have to suffer through continuing to NOT pay for units in my tourney game?

Drat.

I got it in less than 4 minutes. Broadband rules!

The list of fixes would be even more impressive if it wasn't titled "Cnahges For v1.21g" :rotfl:

Just when Brad thought he was finished, patch version 1.21h rears its ugly head...

It has now made its way to my side of the world--now to play the Tourney game.

Thanks to all those who replied and to all at Macsoft; and to Brad the Legend!

I didn't do too much work on 1.21g. John Butler (the other Mac programmer on the conversion) had some time free before he started work on the Westlake "Genie No. 1" project and did the bulk of the changes.

Brad

I can't wait until I get home to test it.
Although, I'm not sure if I want to install it before I've finished my current game.

No mention of fixing the Aquduct-bug encountered :(, perhaps that @mac.com address didn't work, who knows.

(off topic)

I went to school with a programmer named named John Butler. Or I think it was Jon(athan) Butler. Probably not the same guy, right?

Oh well, hail John Butler anyway. :)

Thanks John, Brad, Nate and anyone else responsible for us getting us the patch. [Blows dust off CIV III CD, fires up ibook, and prepares to conquer the world.]

We're smaller because less is more…

All hail, etc.

Thank you to John Butler for the patch and to Brad Oliver for putting up with our requests.

The Mac CivIII community thanks you. And now that it supports 1440x900, I can't wait to get a new widescreen iMac...
