I have put together a new scenario based on the Spanish Catholic taeover of Moorish Spain. Below are the specifics:

For almost 500 years, the Muslim Moors of North Africa have held a stranglehold on the south of the Iberian peninsula. Slowly, the Catholic kingdoms of Castille-Leon and Aragon-Catalonia have pushed back, leaving the Moors quarantined in the kingdom of al-Andalus. In 1236 the Castillan Spanish have launched an assault into northern al-Andalus. The Spanish Catholic kingdoms of the Iberian peninsula (Galicia, Castille-Leon, and Aragon-Catalonia) have allied with Basque-Navarre against the Moors, with Portugal and France watching.

7 Civs: al-Andalus, Castille-Leon, Aragon-Catalonia, Basque-Navarre, Galicia, Portugal, France
Time period: 1236-1492 (year turns)
Starting Age: Middle Ages
Huge Map of Iberian Peninsula

Please play and give me feed back. I tried to assign cities and territory as best I could based on current maps and historical holdings from encyclopedias. This is my first scenario so help me out.

One more note...
I didn't change the profiles of the Spanish kingdoms too much (if I get good feedback I will go into further depth) so the kingdoms simply sit on top of existing Conquest civs:
Galicia- Holland
Castille-Leon- Spain
Basque-Navarre- Germany
Aragon-Catalonia- England
al-Andalus- Arabia

screenies please?

I loved the civ2 scenario of the same name.

I have a few requested changes, if you plan an update.

1) Add a little of North Africa to the map.
2) Add a few banks, markets, and courthouses to better control corruption and add civs income.
3) Change the Elim to Multi-cities Elim (like the Fall or Rome Conquest) maybe the loss of 4 or 6 cities. This would make the scenario much more fun.
4) Put less units in the game to start (I found a large scale swordsman unit war odd in the 1200's).
5) Add some of the knight and Mid Inf. units for some cool flavor.
6) Make the Islamic Civ(s) stronger to start and give the Chistian Knight Units the ablity to "make" leaders or armies with the enslave option. This would make it hard at first but it would be very much like it was in history.
Once the Chistian armies start rolling they would have it easy, but they would need to win a few battles to get the armies.

Hope you like my ideas,

I know a little bit about that period of history in the iberian peninsula, and i can say you are wrong in some things. A lot of the cities aren't placed exactly where they are or they were. Also, some cities doesn't have a real name. For example, you named a city "Castille", and castille is the kingdom.
And other thing, why in the moment the catalonians conquer Valencia, the moors are defeated?? That's not at all historical.
And there is no more than roads, no mines, or other things, and some cities lose population because of this.
That's all, you haven't done a bad scenario, but it needs a lot of corrections.

I have placed an historical scenery of Spanish Civil War here, you can use my map, with accurate position and names of cities, and modify it to make this better. :king:

Please don't bump old threads to tell scenario-makers who made scenarios that were dead 2 years ago that they can use your map.
