After catching the beginnng of the olympics, i realize that almost nothing of the atheletes/olympic games are included in civ 4. After about 3 minutes of pondering, this is what i came up with.
The athelete specalist gives +1 gold, +1 (happy) face, and +3 great person(great athele).
The Great Athelete is where i'm having problems. (was hard and unsure about this guy).
-As a super specialist the Athelete would add +5 gold and +1-2 happyness(?)
-Would construct an Atheletic Hall of fame. would give +50% culture, +1-2 happyness. (unsure about this).
-Break a record. All of your cities receive +1 happyness and +1 culture(maybe only happen once or twice).
The coliseum would allow 1/2 Atheletes.
the Olympic wonder is enabled by the construction wonder, and is obsoleted/disabled while that country is at war. (would seem more fair to just disable while at war) (disabled while at war due to events like WWII, and USA/USSR due to the cold war and each countries boycotting the other's games due to each's own war).
The Olympic wonder would give a +1 relations to each other participating civilization for each era that it passes through(classical, industrial, modern, etc). It would also spring up the Olympic games every 4 turns, to a random city to a random civilzation that is allowed to participate (maybe once a civilzation gets it, it can't get it until each other civlization recieves the oylmpic games). Maybe building the wonder itself would cause every other olympic game to be at one of your cities, or increase traderoutes in each of your cities. Probably a +8-10 culture rating for the olympic games (or none at all because it's mainly international?), and i figure +1-2 for great athelete in the city.
To the city having the olympic games, remove all unhappyness for the turn, double the trade route yeilds (and maybe add additional trade routes, maybe +2?), even give the golden age status to the city ( +1 hammer and gold to city locations that have atleast one).
I think it would add to more peace in the harder difiiculty levels (and this is coming from a guy who would be more adptly named Warmongerer McSkullCruhorsehockyy (irish, i'd believe, or scotish))
