New winter (or ice age) terrain, here :

(only land backgrounds are new in this screenshot - forests, mountains, etc. are either from civilization game directly or from other graphics authors of the civ3 community)

This thing is possible thanks to Tom2050 great terrain generator tool :goodjob:

That's beautiful! The only thing that is in conflict against the ice is that there is a village on an ice raft with beaches. :p
 
Yes. General-jcl is so much of a fan of yours that he uses your terrain graphics in every mod he makes. ;)

probably as I said in my first post only land backgrounds are new in these screenshots. And it's true that I like these coasts and oceans ...
 
I have to say I find it rather alienating that you're using my coastlines although I have made clear that I don't want my beta files to be touched, let alone without asking. I'm not too happy with that but I hope you and others enjoy these new packs. It's too late to step in, anyway.

Sorry Ares, i didn't remember where i get this wonderfull coast / oceans and I had nothing better that can adapt to my land textures. Anyway people who want to use my kits need to download yours
 
It might just be my old eyes but the hills and mountains look odd, like they are pasted on to the terrain and not blending in. If just me ignore otherwise might want to see if can make a tad more less intrusive and blend in around the edges. Otherwise great selection and very useful.

hills and moutains like seas and oceans aren't in these land-kits
So what you see are default civ3 hills/moutains (i suppose)
These images are just as an example. You can combine these kits with other hills / mountains if you want
 
Ares, please except my apology. I remember you said you wished for no alteration of your tiles. When I was making the terrain template, I used the terrain I was currently using (which was yours) as what to base it off of. I was going to replace with Firaxsis coast before I released it, but as time went by, it completely slipped my mind.

I have taken the download for template down, and will reupload once Firaxsis coast is finished.

Out of respect for Ares, I would ask nothing be released with his coasts, changing to different coasts, or perhaps waiting for the Firaxsis coasts to be made available for the terrain templates.

I made the template for CoMM3, and haven't finished updating the coasts to the coasts needed by the mod. Again, my apologies Ares.
