Hello everyone, I have recently started playing Civilization V, without any "expansions".
It seems that the only way I could win so far was to just choose Gandhi, get Tradition, and just focus on 1 city growth+Cultural Victory. I was playing at King rank and no one(8 players) attacked, it was kind of boring and very easy.
But the other way seems tough. It seems impossible to concentrate on founding more cities with Liberty(or whatever it's called, that gives settlers and stuff) and then surviving attacks as well as focusing on economy. I chose Rome and it was kind of tough to survive until I could reach Communism.
And the diplomacy in this game is good for trading but not for wars. Stronghold Crusader, the simple game which I loved in my childhood had much better war diplomacy. Allies actually could give you military units and also give you free resources as well.
And how to start the game when I not choose Gandhi+1 city culture boom strategy?
This is what I do - Monument+worker+some building+some building+settler(from policy) and etc. I can't wage wars but my economy is always held in high esteem as they mention it to me.
Any tips please?
