New to FfH, need some pointers! (mmm elves)

I pretty much like the current religion and alignment setup.

Order: All -> Good
Empyrean: Evil -> Neutral
RoK: Evil -> Neutral
FoL: No Changes
OO: Good -> Neutral
CoE: Good -> Neutral
AV: All -> Evil

(Personally, I would prefer:
Empyrean: Neutral -> Good, Evil -> Neutral
OO: Neutral -> Evil, Good -> Neutral
So what would happen when originally Evil leader switches to Empyrean twice? It can happen within 10 turns. If alignment changes didn't persist like they currently do, there'd be a lot less variety possible within one civilization.

Well, this is falling a bit off topic, and I don't know how bad it would be to code, but my thought has been that alignment ought to be based on original alignment and religion. Something like....

original leader alignment:
good: +2
nuetral: 0
evil: -2

religion:
Order: +4
Empyrean: +2
RoK: +1
FoL: 0
CoE: -1
OO: -2
Ashen Veil: -4

+2 or higher means that you're good, -2 or lower means that you're evil, anything in between means neutral.

Implications:
- your history doesn't matter as much. If you would have been evil with OO at the beginning of the game, you'll be evil with OO at the end of the game, even if you stopped by Order on the way there. In particular, it's worth noting that FoL Phaedra will always be good, and FoL Svartelfar will always be evil. I really don't know if this is a good thing or not.
- Order is still always good. Ashen Veil is still always evil.
- You still can't ever have an evil nation with a good-aligned religion or vice versa.
- RoK is only +1, so RoK Khazad still get to play with druids. This seemed important to me.
- Empyrean can turn neutral civs good. OO can turn neutral civs evil.
- In particular, this gets rid of the "everyone moves towards neutrality until Order/AV.

thoughts?

I think I like the "memory" aspect of the religion/alignment interaction, where your history does matter. It's not tremendously important to me, however. I don't see a problem with your system.
