New Unit: German SDK222 Armored Car

Well, no new units in a couple of days so I guess I better post something new.

I don't know much about WWII Germany, I was just looking around my hard drive for 3-d gif files. In my CTP modding folder I found a nice .gif file and thought to myself "this would make a great Civ3 unit."

Here's a German SDK 222 (thanks google.com!) armored car. Apparently it was used as a recon vehicle and maybe used in other ways as well. Anyone want to write a civpedia entry? It would be appreciated.

I could see this used as a guerilla unit as well...especially in Africa. This unit would not look out place after WWII. I learned quite a bit making this unit and I really like it.

I've been requesting this unit on a few threads! It's called a "Technical" and I really need it! May be too hard for me.

I also need to mention that the sounds come from CTP and from the Unit Sounds thread so thank to the guys who post sound files here.

The explosion sequence comes from Hunter's very cool UH-1.

You know, Winter is right, if this unit would look a bit more "grey" it would be much cooler........... maybe by using color replacer will do the trick!
Recon units are grey, unless I am wrong....

Thanks. I'm kind of done with the unit for right now. Maybe down the road, or...better idea! you and W.i.n.t.e.r. (or anyone, actually) are more than welcome to alter the colors. Yeah, a grey one would be cool.

Ok guys I finished the pedia stuff. I hope its not too technical. I like to read these and see what the unit was historically used for. Which is not necessarily the same way firaxis approaches it, but really there units were all very generic except the UU's, I tend to think custom units are more like UU's in that respect.
