America is rather odd about wars, I'll admit that. Like going into Afganstan, when we lost our first soldier we were like, "No way!!!" As if we didn't think it was possible.
I don't know the exact number that we lost, some where in the 20's I believe? Yet in any war, if you lose less then say 1k of men it is considered a "victory." We lost less then 30, and we need higher budget, more state of the art weapons...
Another thing that sucks is collateral damage. America has a hugeeeeeee negative take on it, so does the world when it views America. In any war there will be civilizian losses, espically when a country is using hospital, schools... as shields!
Also, I don't question our ability to walk over Iraq, North Korea or any nation for that matter. I just question the way we go at it a little. We are the first nation that has gone to war with other countries not for its land, fortune, resources, ... but to make the people of the country happier or even better off. At the same time after the war we almost always pump billions into that countries economy to build it up
Yet even by doing this we still get crap thrown at us, and negative response. I personally think France, most of Europe, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and so on should be singing a different tune. Or the next time someone is knocking at their door, I say "**** em!" We saved their asses when they needed help, yet when we ask for it they won't do crap.
