Sorry, but thread reviving just to praise the work done has ALWAYS been considered as SPAM in the Units and Graphic Modpacks forums. One should revive a thread of such age ONLY if there is something valuable to comment on (such as link being broken, flics giving errors, etc...)

(Considering for how long you've been a user of CFC, you should have learned this by now...).

No one has ever been so much as warned by any moderator for giving a compliment to a unit. It is not SPAM, it is a compliment. A unit can take weeks to create. If only "valuable" comments were to be allowed, then no-one should be giving compliments at all. You are correct, I have been here since units were done with cut and paste only, even before 3-d modeling. What harm does giving a compliment to an old unit cause? I made one of the first 20 units ever, and I am insulted when people are lambasted for giving a compliment to a work that took time and effort, and was created for little more than appreciation... and then to tell people they cannot voice their appreciation? Simply because they are not regulars, and the regulars do not want to have the minor inconvinience of picking out the new units from the old.... even though they visit C&C many times a week?

Please, let the newbies show their appreciation.

wow- 8 posts discussing if the 'revival' of a few months old thread with a praise is Spam or not - ooops- with my post that makes nine (9) after having seen the "pimp" pay us a visit last month and some other ghosts of more than 2 and a half years gone by I have to say I've seen worse... thinking twice, this is getting interesting after all (where is the popcorn?)

btw- I never thanked you for making these great units- including the entire X-com Invasion scenario, Bebro - I think this is a fitting time to do so since everybody is posting in this thread anyway
