New upgrade thread.

Ok, same computer as in my other upgrade thread, not sure if I mentioned it was a 5200 model. Oh, and my other thread I thought was a bit cluttered and off-topic. Now, I have been told that the FX 5500 is better than the fx 5700, also, a local computer store said that my computer would need a new motherboard for the 5700, I havn't asked them about the 5500 until tomorrow. Failing either of those two cards, I think I'd get the fx 5200 as I know it can play COD and if my shaty integraded intel can play morrowind...
Basicaly I jsut want to run the games I already have on that computer better. SO I'll also add 512 ram toaling 7?? ram. I do not plan to add more games to that comp.

5200 is the lowest possible pixel shader 1.1 card out (directx9)
Its runs about the same as GFMX440
Whats the PC specs again. I wouldnt recommend a 5200
(it will run Morrowind and CoD thou)

EDIT: wait a minute I though you didnt have an AGP slot ???

Ok, there are 2 computers, one is mine and I'm upgrading. One is my mom's, wich is a dell but has a 5200 +512. You mean 5200 is agp?
Tomorrow evening i will be at my dad's with my computer.

SPecs:
256 ram
Pentium 4 2.20 ghz processor
Intel *insert bunch of #s and slashes* Graphics Controller
SoundMAX Integrated Difital Audio
C; drive: 55gigs, 18 gigs left.
Dell (model I think is 5200, not sure)
PCI

5200, 5500, 5700 is all obsolete. look into 6x00 series. it would be very dumb to by gf5 series today.

k, I found out that the gf5s are agp.
Also, my computer is not upgradeable.
I hate something... *looks for scapegoat*

So I am buying a new comp... *sigh*
