Hamburg should be a port city. Before I meant that Bangkok is misplaced. Perhaps instead of Oulu, Finland you could include Viipuri, it is between Leningrad and Helsinki and it was the area the Russians and Finns fought over in the Russo-Finnish War. Alaska is part of the United States and should therefore be American rather than part of Canada.

I tried to make the light tanks smaller than the heavy tanks to give a sense of scale and the result is...well as you know. In fact I already replaced some of the poorer looking units like sherman, BT-7 and IL-2 in later versions.
I have quite a good opinion of Eivind's units in his Axis and Allies preview and in fact, I'm using some of them in my current ZWK PBEM game.

p.s. I Also bumped up the Hires Collection in case any of Academia's uits are suitable.

About Spain, I made them minor Axis so that there would be more balance in the scenario. My problem is that I don't have an extra civ for the neutrals like in Koba's ZWK, and I found it a pity to make Spain barbarian and thus up for grasps for anybody. I still think they should be Minor Axis, but I will now include a note in the intro that Franco has chosen to "commit himself" or something like that.

Why dont you just give Spain a lot of strong defences? Taking it would mean a big burden on the attacker in the number of forces that would hav to be committed (which would be realistic) and you could put some bunkers guarding the border with France on the Pyrennes.

That a good idea, Emugod. I just got to get a few turns in. Just wanted to comment on the start. Great idea to include that music. Really sets the theme well. I know what it is

, I just do not want to give any spoilers.That is one solution, Emu, but Britain would certainly attack from the seaside if Spain was barbarian (they do it already in some games). I also think that it does not harm the game to have minor contrafactual circumstances in it. Also by playing the Minor Axis you have a little more territory to control. That's my opinion.
Anyway, does anyone have any comments on the overall gameplay and balancing? Are the units balanced, does it make sence to research, any tried playing a mp game? Any comments are still more than welcome.

Just wanted to say that I like the idea of Spain being in the Minor Axis because I don't see this civ as part of the Axis but as countries with an ideology closely to Germany (Fascist in Italy, Autocrats in the East of Europe and Fascist in Spain). It's not 100% set in stone that the Minors will ally with the bigboys they can even be neutral it depends all on the diplomacy of the players. Something like HoI (did you know the game? oh it's great I love it)

BKA, don`t listen to those saying Indo-china should be part of the minor Allies! They were allied to the Japanese after France was conquered by the Germans (and Thailand was with Japan from the start). And a question: What kind of terrain are those houses? They look great!

Yup, Angry Roman is right. Allthough I wouldn't call Indochina an ally of the Japanese - it had been occupied for a while.
Indo-China should be part of the Minor Allies! Did you not notice that this scenario begins even before Japan takes Peking and before the invasion of Poland? Indo-China was taken over from Vichy France in 1941, while this is still before that, around 1939.

It's an interesting concept - it's been quite popular lately. I can imagine it must be challenging to give the correct look to them when they are even smaller. So thumbs up for that!
My idea would then be that you don't have troops in the same posture in the same units - it looks a little wrong. For instance, one of the snipers could be crawling, one could be standing, one running etc... Just a suggestion.
