Hello all, I just got Vanila Civ 3 (ah I suck) for 2 weeks and had 2 Chieftain games.
In both games, I had a global monopoly of a certain luxury. I tried to trade it with AI for another luxury e.g. wines for spice, but they always want from me, 2 luxury + 2 techs for it. Of course I felt so pissed off and ended up getting those luxuries by force, taking over their cities (I like peaceful building though).
Question is, how can I get a fair trade with the AI?
In the second game I played, I was playing a tiny map and the corruption for far away cities are so pathetic, I got only 1 spt and anything took forever to build. Since I was playing China and my workers work fast, I chopped all the forests (and jungles), then I was planting forest and chooping it for 10 shields, so I got at least 10 spt for every 7 workers for those corrupt cities. But I noticed that the global warming was so bad. In the first game (huge map, no forest chopping) I only had one tile "warmed", but in the second game I had about 10 tiles "warmed".
So does chopping forest/jungle speed up global warming?
Thanks for helping me... I'm trying to learn this game.
