I've already asked this in the old newbie thread but no one answered.
What does precision bombing do?
Thanx.

Precision bombing is supposed to target improvements. But you don't choose. You can take out the Cathdral or Barracks and others. But it fails a lot from my own experience. A stack of battleships can do the same thing, and take out hp from defenders.

Sim_One, I don't think the map generator will do this, but my understanding is that if you use the map editor yourself you may place cattle on a bonus grassland square.

I generally stick to fighters for air-cover. What bombers I do produce are used for bombarding troops and shipping

They're also useful when used to knock out the enemy's road/rail links to resources and luxuries.

I try not to do this , because I then have to rebuild them before the conquered city will be integrated into my empire.

When there are more AI players than fit on the diplomacy screen, how do i get in contact with the others?

One major difference i've noticed is I've had one precision run take out TWO improvements simultaneously (stealth bomber) but have never seen normal runs do this ( even tho you'd think rof >2 would allow this possibility with any bombard)Originally posted by Praetorian
