Myself? No. I don't fight with warriors very much. I do most of my battles post knights. Knight is the earlies that I've gotten one, and that's also the earliest I've done a mass attack.

Come to think of it, i've never got a GL from a warrior either. Plenty from Immortals though...

One more thing, the only screen shots I have are of the desktop running underneath, not the game. Any suggestions?

No, sorry. Maybe it has something to do with what OS you are running or what kind of video card you have. Try asking in the Computer Talk forum.

This freeware screen capture tool is very good.

It has a small window, and when you take full screen pics it doesn't include itself in the pic. You can also take any size pic you want, and save in a variety of formats (including jpg)

I use it at work becuase my PC won't resond to the print screen key.

ReznaaK. open the editor, select Scenario--> custom player dat. select Senario --> Scenario properties, set number of players to 31. save as a scenario, select play senario from PTw main menu.

to el_kalylus, re your signature line.

You left out "Murphy was an optimist."
Actually, if you notice, he lists Murphy's Laws #2, 3, 5, 8, and 13. Certainly not all of them. ;)

I think he is just trying to keep his sig small enough to fit in the Forum Rules: no more than 5 lines.

Actually, Murphy's Laws are not explicitly numbered. The numbers el_kalkylus chose are know as Fibonacci Numbers. The series is 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21... where each number is the sum pf the previous two numbers. Are we off topic yet?

I just assumed he took them from one of many "lists" I have seen of Murphy's Laws. The order on these lists has always seemed arbitrary to me anyway.

BTW, I think it is a sign of how "calcified" my brain has become with age that I didn't even notice the Fibonacci Series in the numbering. :crazyeye:

And I think we're so off-topic that Killer is going to yell at us. At least, I hope it's killer and not that evil Chieftess! ;)

You and the other civ both need harbors.

Then if you only have coast squares between you, trade can be established.

If there are sea squares between you, one of you needs Astronomy or the Great Lighthouse.

If there are ocean squares between you, one of you needs need navigation.

Venturing into Civ3? :goodjob:

Oooo, I think I know this one.

You must have a city with a harbor on the same body of water as a city with a harbor belonging to the civ you wish to trade with, and there must be an explored route between the two harbors. Both cities must be connected to their capitals (by road, airport, or harbor).

Also, trading over SEA squares requires Astronomy, and trading over OCEAN squares requires Magnetism or Navigation.

And, of course, both harbors must be accessible (not blockaded by enemies).
