How do you take a screenie? I've just investigated the English capitol (Birmingham in my game) to see that both their palace and forbidden palace are there....WTH?

to which may be added that the Alt+Tab combination key allows flipping quickly between programs if you want multiple shots or so.Hit the 'Prt Scrn' button on your keyboard. Then open a graphics program such as Paint (you can use the windows key, then go to Programs....Accessories...Paint, this way you don't need to exit the game), then you 'paste' and there's the screenshot! Remember to reduce the image size a bit, or crop it, and save the file as .JPG.
Yes, I meant the latter. Apologies for poor wording, the "but" was supposed to split the comments in agreement from those at variance.Originally posted by ivory
I can read this as: ivory said that content-making improvements increase happiness, but they don't.
or as: ivory said that content-making improvements never increase happiness.
I hope you mean the latter, because that is how I meant it.
Quick answer: See TeTurkan's thread in the C&C forum, probably where you downloaded the mod. If the answer is not there, it 's about time somebody asked them...Originally posted by Benderino
2 quick things.
The first is I'm playing a scenario for PTW called TeTurkan something, and for some reason I can't rename my units as I can in other PTW games. Its very irksome, and I was wondering if there was something I could do in the editor, or if its hopeless to spread a little creative thrill here and there.
"Warlord" is the default title (that 's how you call the phrase between the name and avatar) for the number of posts you have. Since you have well over 30 posts, you are eligible to change your title in your profile. Once you get to 300 posts, you also change your avatar to something that you upload.Secondly, I've noticed that many people have words written above his/her avatar (but below their name) instead of saying chieftain or warlord (Ivory's, for instance, says "what's the big picture?"). I was wondering how I can change my warlord to say something else.

If I meet a new civ by sending my scout onto their territory, will it create a bad attitude? When I just walk around near the border, I do not seem to actually meet the civ.
Thanks
+1 If they ask you to leave their territory, +4 if you are given the orders to leave or declare war. These are only temporary, and as long as you leave when forced to, you get the points back the next turn. You can continually send 1 troop in, spend 1 turn there and claim you will leave, leave when you are forced to, but go back into their territory the next turn, and the AI attitude will not drop in the long run, just keep cycling between +/- 5 pts.

There's a comprehensive reference for the civ3 vanilla game here. It's a 17 page PDF produced by Julian Egelstaff summarizing most of the game features, and it includes a tech tree annotated with the abilities that each tech enables. I've printed it off and keep it around when I'm playing.
