Please join me in congratulating jesusin on his second time as an Eptathlete with a fastest finish Spaceship Victory. :worship:

Congratulations to this month's winners as Termitnik wraps up another Gold. :trophy:

Special mention to -Asterix- with his first BOTM Silver Medal and a Cow award. :goodjob:
Congratulations to Jovan Kukic who takes the Bronze.

Interesting to read Lexad's spoiler highlighting his one session, sloppy play, game which garnered him the fastest domination win.
Had to look a long way down the results list to find adrianj's fastest cultural victory. :eekdance:
Monnet wrote a very good final spoiler in which he reflected on what he learned and what he needed to improve upon.

Thank you all for the enjoyable write-ups in the spoiler threads.

Here's where everyone settled.

The Small Print:
The numbers by each player's name indicate the turn settled on (starting turn is 185). Players are colour coded by game class (challenger=red, adventurer=blue). Symbols indicate victory condition, if there's no symbol then the player either retired or was defeated. The yellow border indicates the land that was visible at the start of the game.

Just a little cut/paste error? If the starting turn is 0, how come everyone chose to wander around for 186 turns??? ;)

Congratulations to all the winners (and everyone else who beat me!).

Those of you who failed to beat me... better luck next time. :king:

:mischief:

They were searching for the absolute, perfect place to settle?
Sounds about like your typical game? :mischief:
:joke:

OK, you caught me, those automated tools aren't as smart as I thought...

I'm rather happy of my game, but there is still a clear difference with the winners.
congrats to all the award winners, especially adrianj.
cultural with a late start is hard so :goodjob: being faster than I was with my domination.

edit : also special congrats to shyuhe, for :
- best scoring challenger
- being so close to the top with it
- being so close to the cow with it

Thanks cabert. I was sushi farming, so it's not too surprising that I was close to the cow  I quit around future tech 4 when I triggered domination. I think you're misreading the dates though - it looks like you finished before me. As for these 4th place finishes, they're really starting to kill me! I think it's 4 in a row (for fourth!).

:goodjob: to the winners though. As usual, I am in awe of the dates and scores posted by the super warmongers.

Termitnik is a Rene animal )) Grats, jesus!

I had read 1947 instead of your 1974, well still a good game :goodjob:.
IMHO, you cannot be competitive while using the challenger save, so you get the special "gold for challenger" award instead ;)

Congratulations for your 2nd heptathlon, jesusin! :king:

Maybe if I hadn't wasted so much time trying to get a diplo win in the midgame (gave up eventually and went for space, but still got an accidental diplo, hitting enter when my spaceship was flying), I could have given you a better run for your money! :)

Yay! Silver medal is way more than I dared to hope for... and even the cow on top of that... :)

But the game sure was fun and different as a renaissance start. Congratz to Termitnik and jesusin and other winners!

Sweet! An Award!

I remember a HOF gauntlet a while back where the challenge was to win a cultural VC with an Industrial era start. I had many attempts at that, and a lot of the strategies were still applicable to this Renaissance game - one thing was that even though corps were available much earlier, the old fashioned "turn off research at Liberalism" still worked out really well. Only difference in this game for me was continuing on to Democracy so I could cash rush things (In Industrial era start, you already have Democracy) - though I'm not convinced it was really necessary.

Thanks to the staff for the fun game :)

I still can't believe I lost this game in 2049 AD. I thought I was cruising to a time victory.

We'll keep trying to prove that wrong, just need to have some more Immortal/Deity games.

Do want to say it's really a shame shyuhe didn't win something though, very close on the medals and sounded like a very solid played game. So great job, and congrats to the winners too of course.

Saw The-Hawk actually didn't get fastest Dom, Lexad edged him out in turn. So fun surprise I guess but good job to both of you, especially as The-Hawk is rather down the list but sounds like an impressive game. I wasn't quite fast enough either.

Somehow I was expecting a dozen of angry (but friendly) Russian players to beat my Space date. :D

Next time, warn people beforehand that you need company

Congrats to all the winners and thanks again to the staff for another fun game.
