No black terrain without TnL possible?

Hello all,

I was wondereing if it is possible to play Civ4 with a videocard without TnL?
I installed the latest 1.09 patch and I tried with the latest supported drivers for my videocard (forceware 71.89) and the omega drivers on both performance and quality but the terrain wont 'unblack'.

My videocard is kinda old (RIVA TNT2 64) but i am able to play the game smooth enough on low settings standard map. If i can have the real terrain civ IV is playable on my computer...

Anyone who has a suggestion on what to do to lose the black terrain? Or will i never be able to play this game without TnL?

Am I the only one who still has black terrain after the patch? (the city names are still messed up too, the leaders however are ok now)

Any help is more than welcome!
