no iron no horses

Since the last update, I have generated 2 maps that have no iron, no horses or fish or crabs. What gives? Have others had this problem? Is there a solution I am not aware of. BTW, I ask for maps that are supposed to have generous amounts of these,. Also few luxuries.

Well they must have some... unless you have a dodgy mod/map.

At risk of becoming like a broken record, ...
Your map size could be a major contributor to resource scarcity. Try with a larger map size so the resources have a greater chance to appear at a location accessible (to settle or ...).
