Hi,
After playing a very exciting Next War game for hours, I suddenly lost the game because I and the AI's used Atomic weapons, which caused the whole world to collaps
In my opinion this is not only unrealistic, but especially very annoying. What is the point of those weapons, if they let you eventually lose the game anyway. I want my worldwide atomic war!
Therefor I wondered, if anybody knew how to turn off this annoying feature of a collapsed world.

I'm grateful for every hint.

I think a few next war mods turn it off, like Not Just Another Nextwar Mod. luckily this doesn't happen in vanilla BTS.

Oh it isn't? Never used that much atomic weapons before so didn't realize that. Well, that should make it quite easy to delete this crap by myself

Well, I don't know about it from a playability perspective, but it is realistic. The use of enough atomic weapons would send enough debris into the atmosphere to block out the sun and kill most life on earth. Also the radioactive debris would fly far from the initial site of the explosions and eventually cover the earth. Granted it would take more nukes then is used in a civ IV game, but a civ IV units are simply representations after all. If your game was real life the world would be destroyed several times over :)

Well there might be a significant effekt on the global weather and environment conditions - I say "might" because this is merely an assumption, not a fact - but the earth would definitely not get whipped out or "crack like an egg". This is pure nonsense.

By the way does the new patch for BtS fix this, as now this event only applies to the scenario. Good job :goodjob:
