No Medieval Infantry ?

I`m confused here.

I`m playing Persia, it`s 660AD, and I`m in Monarchy.

I have researched Feudalism.

I just took a city with Iron in it`s Box. The city is connected to my Capital.
I`m now getting the ability to build Pikeman in all cities, but no Medieval Infantry is showing up for building ?

Any idea what`s the problem ?

The UU for Persia has the same stats as MI, but costs 10 shields less!

Answer: There is no problem! There is only an advantage!

yeah - I would guess you dont' get MDI, you only get immortals.

Why do you want MDIs when you can build the same unit for less shields...?!

Thanks guys, I guess I didn`t realize the Persian UU was upgradeable although even with the same stats it always seemed the MI was better in the attack in taking out Musket Men in Cities.

It's true - the mace's stats may say 4.2.1, but we all know that little wrecker really attacks on a 6 or something so is the immortal really as good? No job is too tough for the mighty medinf.
