I apologize if this has been addressed, but I can't seem to find any source that mentions anyone having this problem.
Everything is working fine in the game for me (no video problems, etc) except that I can't get any sound to work within it whatsoever. I'm using an HP Pavilion notebook with its default SoundMax soundcard (which is working for everything except this one game at the moment). Civ4 recognizes that I have a soundcard in the options menu - it's as if it's just muted in some bizarre fashion I don't understand (and no, it's not literally muted). I'm at a loss. Does anyone have any ideas about this?
