No 'You built the Whatever' message?

When you finish building something a message pops up and says, 'You have built a barracks in Medina', or whatever.

Every now and then I'll notice a city not building anything (and no, it's not because of 'you can no longer work on the 'blah' wonder).

I wouldn't ignore a 'what do you want to build now' notice.

Does anyone else ever see this?

If there is already another building programmed to be built there is no pop up. It may be this case.

Don't you get a 'work has completed on a 'blah', construction has now started on a 'blah-blah'?

This is just 'I look at the city and it's build queue is empty'.

I don't think this is possible in un-modded Civ 4. Some mods include an option to build nothing, and there it is possible to do this by accident. Are you using any mods? Also do you have 'minimize pop-ups' switched on?

This is Warlords with the Blue Marble mod. I just unchecked 'minimize pop-ups', I'll see if it happens again....

Something like this happened yesterday to me. But then I had been messing around with some python files, but not anything that would make this happen.

I've given up on that game. Was land-locked and keeping up with Catherine, but then Shaka declared war on me and everything went to hell.

I've started another scenario where everything is just going amazingly well (the villagers have given you a Settler!).

I'll see if this happens again....

I think I recall something like this happening when I played a while back, even before I stared using mods or tooling around with files. I'm not sure why it happened, but at least I can attest to it happening as well.
