Noob Q: Civil Disorder during War

It is better to try defense war. But, if you want to conquer you can't do this (What was the last time when you conquer a city without sending units to conquer the city)

I guess (on an unrelated note) that its worth pointing out you can avoid the worst effects of disorder, or at all if you plan your wars well. A sizeable force (at least 1 1/2 times of the size you estimate the enemy to be), combined arms (although you have that - cavalry/med inf seems like quite an odd mix tho D: ?) and an attack strategy

if you take the enemy by surprise and sweep 3 or 4 cities in a few turns, you usually ride a wave of popularity for a while. be swift, strike precisely and try and steal enemy luxuries whenever possible. not only will it tip them toward anarchy, but you will be able entertain your own people with the new acquisition, or, trade it and apply the GPT (AI lap up lux for GPT) to your happiness slider.

and use republic :)

. Now, I have like (estimate) 25-30 workers all on different spots. While it's good for getting jungle cleared and mines built in a hurry, I find it to be a nusiance when I am trying to attack. I'll be in the middle of moving troops and the cursor will pop halfway across the world to some worker in the middle of nowhere. I think I am going to break my spacebar from skipping turns. Anyway else to bypass worker movement during war? Or is it that I have too many workers?

If you don't want the hassle of managing workers, why don't you automate them? If you don't want them to change anything there is an order you can give them to do just that. Any unworked land will be turned into something by a worker who is set to Automate/no altering. If all your workers on a quiet land mass are automated then you can forget about them......they will clean up pollution, build roads, railroads, mines etc without you having to do anything. It leaves you free to conduct your war. The next time you remember to look at that land mass it'll be a veritable garden of eden......erm....with railroads in it! The great thing about this is that when they've improved every available tile on the map, they'll just wait in a city until they're needed, and then pop out automatically....such as when pollution occurs. Or, if you've captured a border town, they'll immediately come out and start to work the captured land, build roads etc. Gawd bless 'em! That's what I say.

Ooops! Not quite sure how to do the 'quotes' thing properly. Sorry.

No harm done daft. To end the quote in your previous post add / before QUOTE=Sic...
