Bonsoir,
Following issue concerning the ZOC.
If a unit is already in an ennemy's ZOC at the beginning of the turn, I expect according to the rule that this unit can only move one tile within the ZOC, not more (even if it is a horseman with many PM)
But it seems that the AI understands the rule slightly differently :(
In the screenshot below ZOC.jpg
I tried to show the issue:
To my opinion the blue horseman may not attack the archer unit because it cannot move more than one tile within the ZOC of the swordman.
But I already lost several archers in this situation! :(
(I have no saved game unfortunately)

It is a bug or did I misunderstand the ZOC rule?

I've had some situations too where it seemed like a horseman ran right through my ZOC to attack behind my lines. I'm not sure if it's a bug or I just missed something.

In your screenshot there may be a loophole for the horseman to attack the archer. The rule says that if a unit moves between two tiles in your ZOC it can't move any more, but it could move northeast, southeast, and attack.

yep, the horseman can attack the archer if it moves on the hill first (2 mp), back near the swordsman (1 mp), and attack (1 mp). Doesn't break any ZOC rule

merci for your explanation,
it's right: a unit may exit the ZOC and reenter it if it has enough PM!
But the AI moves its units so quickly that one could believe that the units sometimes cross the ZOC regardless of the rule.
I suggest a "replay slowly" button after an AI attack is done ;)

Moderator Action: title changed (not a bug)

However, as you say, this can be a bit tricky to see during an AI's turn since all movements happen almost simultaneously.
