Not Happy with Civ V? Try These Mods!

Thanks Sneaks. If you want, you could just point me in the right direction for it. I mean I could change it, as long as I know where I'm going. I did a little work changing some things through the xml previously. I'm not a modder, by any means, but I'm knowledgeable enough to adjust small things (if it is indeed one), long as I know where I'm looking for it.

My biggest problem with this game, besides the horse-[manure] AI, is how doggedly this game plays on an otherwise snappy system. It's not the graphics (I'm playing on an ATI 6850), but the time it takes to calculate every gosh-darn action the AI wants to do. It's like 2-3 seconds delay every time I give the game a command! How can that be modded? As it is, it's more like "work" than "play".

We cannot mod that until we have full .dll access. Until then, we are improving everything we do have access to.

Hold on, i'm not so sure about this.
There are a number of simple XML values which would accelerate every AI decisions to a point where the "Number" of activities allow an almost instantaneous Next-Turn wait.
Now, i won't feed everyone (as in Modders) the proverbial indirect cop-out but (if i really, absolutely want my games to get a lot quicker) it took me about 45 seconds to type, edit, save a specific file once only.
Then, i realized: Why bother, i'm cheating?
Trust Devs, they know the very same trick and they'll design a much better solution.
