Does anyone who also have this issue...
When you click on the "check for update" then it just hangs there. No response at all and end up have to reboot the computer.
Is there any know issue for this one??

almost sounds like your firewall is waiting for you to allow or deny access.. or maybe just blocking it, thats my only thought.. I have not had that problem (after allowing Civ 4 access in my firewall)

do you have Zonealarm firewall? This also happens to me until I check the box that pop ups to keep from CIV4 from being blocked but I can't get out of the game to check it so... (If this is the case) What I do is push my "Stand-By" special key on my keyboard then bring my PC out of stand-by mode and relog. Now I can click on the zonealarm box to allow Civ4 update connect to the internet.

yeah, control-alt-delete works for me, then just hit escape and can allow it access (I don't have a special standby key)
