I have some questions regarding CIV3:PTW.

1. Uranium appeared in my territory. I was saving it to create ICBMs after securing my nation with Integrated System Defense. About 20 turns after uranium discovery, I am told that I have used up my uranium source! I haven't even built The Manhattan Project or Nuclear Plants. Does uranium eventually dissappear after a period of time regardless of its use? Will uranium reappear in new locations? Do any other luxuries or resources get "used up"?

2. I finished researching all technology. Now I'm researching Future Technology. What is Future Technology and what is its significance?

3. Are you required to build the Manhattan Project before creating any nuclear weapons?

4. The AI can trade stolen workers from me. How do I trade my slave workers from another player, AI or Human?

5. Is there a way to see detailed information about existing wonders including who has built them and which city they are built in? I like to destroy AI cities that contain wonders. However, I don't know how to identify cities that contain wonders.

Thanks

1) Some resources randomly disappear, but not always...
2) Future tech adds to the score...
3) Yes
4) I think you can trade them if they are in a city...
5) I think you can use diplomacy to reveal a city (to view it like one of your own cities)...

i'll try to answer all your questions to the best of my ability.

#1 whenever you connect a strategic resource to your road network, there's a chance it will eventually be used up and it sometimes just gets up and moves across your empire

#2 future techs don't get anything specific for you but they do help increase your score (but by very little)

#3 you have to build manahattan project before you can build any nuclear weapons at all. but be careful: once manahttan project is built ALL CIVS can build nukes. :nuke: :nuke:

#4 you can trade your built or captured workers if they are in your capital city when you are talking to another civ.

#5 if you press F7 on your computer it takes you to the wonder screen. there you can see any wonders being built (by civs you already met), and all wonders that have been built already. and it also shows what CIV and City. (but why destroy wonder cities, capture the city and use the wonder for yourself)

There, hoped i helped and good luck. :)

You dont need Integrated System Defense to build ICBMs, you or the AI needs to build the manahattan project and you need the rocketry tech

I'd recommend the Quick Answers thread for questions like this - lots of good players visit it frequently and are only too happy to answer to the best of their ability.

Thanks for all the replies. All my questions are answered except for one:

Will uranium (or other luxuries and resources) reappear during the game?

Whenever a strategic resource disappears, it reappears somewhere else on the map. There will always be x number of a certain strategic resource on the map. Rubber and horses do not expire.

Newbie here. My question is: How do you move stacked forces? I stacked five dromons, pushed the "Stacked" button above the legend, and proceeded to move them, but one just peeled off the stack and moved by itself, leaving the other four.

Also, if you want to attack with a leader, do you place him in a city near the borders and just stack a bunch of cavalry, or what not, on him and then attack? How does the leader work in attack?

Thanks in advance.

My guess would be that unit had more (or less) movement points left than the others when you moved them.

No, No! Don't attack with a leader. Use Military Great Leaders (in Vanilla Civ of PTW) to rush great wonders or build an army. In C3C to rush small wonders or build an army. Move him to a city with a barracks and you'll see an order button to "Create Army". Then load units into the army. Never attack with the leader as you'll just end up losing him.

I found that out. I had the Greeks and made an alliance with the Inca to attack the Carthaginians. We had basically wiped out the Carthaginians and then the Inca got to a coastal city I wanted, and had been bombarding with my frigates - but, before I could move in my last 2/4 cav to take the city, they took it! This pissed me off to no end so I just decided to attack them - which really pissed off the AI of the remaining four civilizations, one of which (the Americans) joined them to attack me.

Anyway, all hope was lost until one of my cav units suddenly created a leader in one of the Inca cities I had just captured - and I had no idea what to do with him! I figured, since he was waving a little flag, that he would lead the charge. To my surprise, I found out he couldn't do squat on the battlefield, except wave that flag. To make a long story at least shorter, the Inca counter-attacked and captured the leader. This made them very happy. And I was doomed.

BTW, the keyboard shortcut for moving with a stack is J, Shift-J if you only want to move units of a certain type.
