Nukes

Is it true that if you use nukes enough your cities start growing unhappy because all the other leaders are growing unhappy at you? I launched a nuke and all of a sudden all my cities were unhappy with 5+ or more to the world thinks you are a vilian.
Whats going on?

I thought "the world considers you a villain" occurs when you defy a UN-/AP-resolution.

Nukes seem to have a far greater effect on war weariness than any other tactics. I bet somebody's run the maths on this.

I defied giving a city to the AI once, but that was it. I had rather bad relations with everyone though. (I ended up winning space race)

The penalty stays until you vote for a resolution that passes, iirc. - Destroying the UN/AP might help as well.
