NVIDIA GEFORCE Question

So, if the specs say a GEFORCE2 is required, will a GEFORCE FX5200 do it? I'm not savvy enough to know the differece between the two. I have the problem of the game working perfectly, but eventually the mouse cursor disappears. Everything else works great, but obviously I can't play with an invisible mouse cursor (the "gold sword" is still visible, but it won't move).

Is my problem the Video card? I'd be very disappointed to hear that a system that is about one month shy of two years old can't run this software. Even if it is not the card, I think Firaxis really has blown its reputation here, so many problems for so many folks.

I have that exact problem, and I can't get a solution out of anyone about it. No one seems to know what causes it. I also have crackling sound occasionally, and its half static sometimes. The world map glitch also happens, where the texture is jumbled.

Specs:
3.4 GHz P4
1GB ram
GeForce 6600GT 128MB card

Can anyone help us?

I managed to install it on my girlfriend's sytem (she has a 5200 video card). It works, and fairly well on an AMD 64 3400+ with only 512 mb ram. On the other hand; I can't get it to work on my brand new x2 4800+, 2 gb ram, 7800 pici-e video card system

I just bought a new GF 6600 GT today cause my old card wouldnt run it. I have 512mb Ram 2.4 ghz P4 and works absulty flawlessly no problems here and it all on the highest settings so im gonna guess that your drivers are not up to date.

Won't run on my 2GB \ FX-55 \ SLI 7800GTX platform either. Autosave kicks in and it hard hangs.

I have GeForce4 MX 440 and it installed fine, but I have the black terrain on the tutorial and it crashes whenever i start a new game.
