NVidia Windows Logo Install Problem

"software you are installing has not passed windows logo testing to verify compatability with Windows XP" - shown every time i try to install directx from civ cd

I have updated my directx straight from microsoft website, still am not showing the missing dll file D3DX9_26.dll

my computer is insane fast and has about the best video card on the market

have no problems running any game ever until this one, i have been a civ fan since i was 10, very dissapointed here and really need some help, any help is very much appreciated, thanks a ton!

p.s. I know there have been alot of others posting of this problem, but no solution has been given, i am sure all would appreciate the suggestions of how to fix this, i have been waiting for this game for two years and actually just bought this computer for it... very sad and dissapointed

i updated my nvidia drivers to the most recent and directx to the most recent (only off microsoft web page, wont let me off civ cd), still says im missing dll file, does anyone have an answer to this? or will people just read this thread... laugh... and continue on playing their games that work

also i have files D3DX9_24dll and D3DX9_25dll but no 26

thanks ed! i did get the file, but still cant install it due to the windows logo issue, i tried just copying the file i needed to the windows/system32 location and it still wont run, any suggestions?
