Playing a game as Svart with FoL religion on creation mapscript.

I have my troops positioned at choke points to pick up any barbarians coming into my terrain, odd thing is, if the barbarians made it to the slot any of my troops were on before my turn came around, they just walked underneath. Then I killed them the next turn.

I noticed this occuring with beastmasters, assassins, workers. But not outside my territory. May've happened with a knight too, not sure. They did not have HN, some had CoE religion, not sure if all did.

Does this happen with any HN unit? In my current game (.32d), privateers are sailing right past the Frigates guarding my sea resources and pillaging them. In standard civ, sentry ships will stop privateers, but here the sentries just let them by.

You built the Nox Noctis, which makes all units in your border invisible.

Same thing, you've probably got Nox Noctis. HN has nothing to do with it.

Out of curiosity, does that "Sea Patrol" button help at all with this? Got good results from it in my last game, though Nox Noctis wasn't involved.

I've had ships sail into the same tile as my frigates with sea patrol active to pillage, yes. I'm not sure if Nox Noctis was involved in that game, though it's possible it was. If so, that could use a look... Esus civs need a way to defend their fishing boats too!

Ah, you're right! I do have Nox Noctis. Thanks.

Nope, after the first incident, I thought that might work, but it didn't. Third time I sent the sentry frigate after the privateer before it got to the fishing boats. Soon I'll really be proactive and capture as much of the Bannor empire as possible, which will take care of most of the privateer problem. (The Malakim might be sending a few as well, not sure.)

Yes, I have Nox Noctis, that explains it.

Sort of annoying really.
