Are they going to make an official website as they did for the other civilization expansion packs that show some of the new features and leaders? I have been waiting for one to pop up but it hasn't happened yet as far as I know.

Interestingly, all the domain names I can think of related to it are still available.

I recall that Civ IV's Beyond the Sword and Warlords expansions had websites up much earlier (they were also easier to navigate, loaded faster, came with music....)

Interestingly, firaxis is moving into consoles and probably phone apps...but they still can't put up and/or maintain a decent web pages.

You could theorize that they don't really need to since there's this site and others that are all over everything civ and that have been considered (IMO) the semi-official civ sites for ages anyways.

It just bugs me that they haven't, as Morningcalm said they had full expansion websites for Civ 4. If they finally do make one I hope it will show the leader animations

I thought I would find the link off firaxis's site, I got proven wrong.

I don't know, I liked how neatly Civ IV's Warlords and Beyond the Swords websites summarized the new features, presented an attractive title screen with music, and had biographies of all the leaders up.

In comparison, Civ V: G and K has no website at all. I think they really should get working. PR is important, doesn't Firaxis know? Right now it just seems like they don't care/lack funds. :(

Civ5 does, just not the xpac. I agree they should update it at least.

Yeah, I meant Civ V: G and K, edited post for correction!

It shouldn't be too hard to at least put up a placeholder website with some news releases...
