Offline LAN game with Hamachi(VPN)

Anyone tried that? We are trying now to connect through hamachi with no luck No hosted games visible! All players have a ping to each other, all firewalls are off, client options set to allow all connections... just don't know, what to do else

Please, help with advice!

Are you trying to tell Civ5 that you are on a LAN by using Hamanchi?

Yes, exactly. I'm trying to tell Civ5 that all players are in LAN. By common router LAlN Civ5 games are visible, checked already

May be some network settings, dunno...

With steam, i think this is easier to play trough the online mode with a password.
However, that's true that even on real lan, some games works better with hamachi

If you want to play with only one game, make sure to change your nickname for each offline steam account (because civ cannot manage players with same names (i hope it will be fixed)).

have you tried all the peeps being online? I don't know if that would make a difference for a VPN like Hamachi but if that works then you could also try using the workaround that somebody posted for playing single steam copy offline lan games if you really want to play offline

well... it seems like Hamachi suxx... Tunngle works for me!! I can see lan games now!

Well that is good to know, it seems there is something about the way Hamachi works that Civ5 LAN doesn't like, could be the IP ranges used how knows.....
