Hey guys, I have played the game without cheating for a few months, and now I'm king of looking forward to cheating. The only problem is I know nothing about programming, and I can't find any cheats on the internet. The only cheats I can find for colonization seem to involve complex programming that I can't figure out. One of them deals with opening up configuration files which I'm not even sure of how to locate. Its a bit frustrating, anyone can help?

Hi, that doesn't seem to work, is there something else I have to type? Are we talking about the same game? What do I type after ctrl+W??? Are you referring to the old Colonization, or the new one? The old one I used to have that option, but the new one it doesn't seem to work!

I am referring to Civ4 Colonization 2008 and in solo game you can go in worldbuilder mode:
- First push Esc
- Select "Enter WorldBuilder"
- Are you sure ? yes or no -> say Yes :D
And now you can delete some units or some cities .....
But if it don't work I don't know what happen with your game.

okay so in world builder I can delete units, but is there any way to do other stuff, like change my money? Or finish a building quickly?

I prefer not to cheat although I did come up with my own challenge using the WB and maybe Dale's mod. I gave myself an extra boat with a petty criminal. Capitol had to be founded on a small island and could only hold petty criminals, former petty criminals or, if they earned their freedom or the city grew, residents could go off and be trained but had to return.

Yes you can do that. You must select one of your colonies and you can change your money... It's pretty easy to use.

Or any other way? Accidentally did a lot of map mods but then saved with wrong year.

If you REALLY want to cheat, there are always some trainers to d/load and use to cheat in CivIV/Col. Having said that, why would you want to cheat? Does'nt this defeat the purpose of playing any game? To challenge your wit against the AI of the game, providing this is for single games only.

Or read up on various web sites re modding the game or compare some mods of how they achieve what they do.

Cheers
