does the ai know how to use multi production?even better question ,does it knows to remove buildings once their effects become negative(stone tool maker)?i don't know why but in all my game i usually end up with a super advanced huge civilization-and that in ancient age.a game imo loses some fun when you are winning by big margin

also a question about balance:are all the buildings in the mod correctly balanced?i think that there are some buildings that are much better than others(for example some prehistoric buildings provide the same has classical ones while being much more cheaper)

yes the ai does multiple production, jus not the same way as the player does.

As far as I know the Stone Tools Workshop never goes negative it just goes back to zero benefit. Part of the problem is that when it says -1:hammers: or what ever the actual may say -1.8:hammers: however that 1:hammers: was also providing that 1.8:hammers: in the first place.

Gross balance up to Renaissance with more balance in the earlier periods. However as we make changes the balance needs to be redone. For example I have noticed there is to little crime around in the last few games I have played with -200 or more crime in all my cities in the Classical period.

I don't know if the AI does use multiple production but there are certain ways to have a balanced, competetive game:

First play Eternity speed, its a bit slow in beginning but at the end of prehistoric era you have a good speed for the coming parts of the game

Secoundly, play deity difficulty: AI starts with 2 cities and a few techs... you should be able to catch up around classic era, if you play precolumbian giant earth map usually around ancient era.

You might want to have revolutions on, infinite xp and commanders off (prevents you from getting a super strong army very soon as AI still lacks some strategy - although it will attack chokepoints now and land forces at the shores.

The tips should help you to have a fun game until renaissance/industrial...

if, however, a superstrong AI appears, try to bring it down with dirty espionage late industrial/early modern. If you manage to steal techs to get even progress and then break it up via instability and revolutions you won more or less.

i have play in deity an imo it seem easier than Bts .also i don't think eternity will help balance the game, has the longer it takes to end the game, the player will have more advantages.finally revolutions can harm a lot ai in early game when you send then rogues to their cities, crime start to build up and their 2 cities empire dissapear.

Yes, Rogues bring a lot of money in critical prehistoric times when you struggle to pay for 2-3 cities later the AI has a lot of dogs to keep the rogues away but not then.. I raided the lands of the #1 AI last game around that time just to get even in score at the end of the prehistoric era...

About revolutions: I like the thrill that maybe one in fifteen games, my conquered cities do struggle a bit. Well and the AI often has double as many cities as the human and doesn't struggle with stability at all (on deity) so to manage to iniciate some tensions there is a hard effort that adds to good gameplay.
