One thing feature you would love to see implemented...

Overlay icons and city buildings

Why must a Capital ship icon be the same than the Fleet Icon? Please give us a fleet icon so we know how big the threat is that's comming our way when we are all zoomed out. ;)

City buildings- oh dear. It seems as if time ran out when the original game was made. Some buildings are too large, some to small- and some plain ugly- like the Political Capital (ugly and too small- feeble, really). I hope Dark Avatar will see these issues set right, as your great game well deserves.

Or something like that.

Wait. How about a button for terraforming this game into Civilization 4. The graphics could morph, and sound effects blur into something new. That could be really cool.

But seriously, I agree with the idea have asking for some sort of hangar module to build carriers. :goodjob:

I would like to have a shpiyard like program for me to make ships then put them in the game.

It's a small matter, but I would like to see a left direction scroll with the 'ship and planet' list displayed.

I often open the list of my ships to move where I want them. When the ship list menu is down I can move my cursor to the edge of the screen and move the display in every direction except to the left, which is blocked by the list itself. To move my view to the left I must move the cursor to the upper or lower left corner, move the view diagonally, and then correct by moving back up or down to display what I wanted to view. This always seemed kind of silly to me.

Could a programmer please activate left direction scrolling while the ship list menu is open. Thanks. :)

When I'm designing a ship I would like to beable to "warp" the dimesnions of the stuff I can put on it so I can increase the length with out having the overall size of it increase as well.

Would be kind of cool to be given a knife so I can chopp off little peices that are sticking out of the hull of the ship, or to mold another peice to look just right

With Patch 1.1 now out and in the open so we can see it the GalcivII team will, in due time set for v.1.2. This thread is to hear your idea of that "one" feature you think is badly missing and you would love to see implemented. :)

just read through the posts and my own favorite suggestion is still missing.

I find ship design to be a tedious bore and a serious detraction from the fun factor. to adequately attack or defend I found I must be constantly creating new ships.

even after several games and having the resources of all those previous ship designs by mid game I am still designing new ships to adjust to the offense/defense of that particular game.

simple solution to my request, put a "no custom ships" button on the new game start screen.

the corollary would be a "one type of offense of defense" button on the start screen, but this would jettison two whole branchs of both the offense and defense. however the various offense and defense combos are what make the learning curve for this game so steep. why not a "only lasers and shields" start game option???
