Open the console on mac

is it possible to open the console into civ4 for mac?
I can't even find the file civ4config!

Then find Cheat Code = 0 and replace 0 with Chipotle

thanks! now cheats (like creating units/cities) works single player. But still i can't open the actual console (to make the tilda ~ i press Alt+5 but it doesn't seem to work into the game)

Tilde is shift + back tick(`). On all my Mac keyboards, the `/~ key is between shift and Z>. And that works to open the console.

Alt+5 produces infinity (&#8734 on my keyboards. Do you have a non-English keyboard?

yeah, i changed my keyboard to international US and it worked! Thank you very much! One last thing: is it IMPOSSIBLE to use the console into a hotseat game? I mean it's on my own computer, is there some other way to modify a savegame with 2 players on the same computer?

If the assets are locked (either in game options or by password protecting the game) then you can't open the console as I understand it. This is probably also the case for any multip-player game - precisely to avoid the possibility of one player editing the game to his/her advantage. But I don't play multiplayer (or single, for that matter!) so I can't give you a definitive answer.
