OPERATION I:German Assault Oppurtunity

I agree with one Hoplite in each city, mistakes can happen, but one Hoplite should be enough to hold until the Reaction Forces can come in a and sweep the enemy away.

Mr. President, you're too right, I underestimated Olympus's production power, within six turns for two Hoplites is good enough, we'll then have a basic Static Defense, followed by the Zone Defense Idea, which would be made of our excess Hoplites and Swordsman ,and Horseman.

I've also already decided to move those other Swordsman as well, as they are to close to the Border to react effectvley,

(Here we go agin...) If any of you have ever played Linebacker than you should know that you can't get caught up in the mess called the middle, or else you'll have a big ol' lineman (Iv'e long ago given up calling them fat, sometime after TD #4 this season, I love them now, TD #16) get in your way and shut you down making you ineffective to following the Ballcarrier and Tackling him. So in all essence our Swordsman need to sit back a bit and READ and THE Attack fast and hard while follow up forces come.

I can't wait for the Stables to get the KNight's Templar up, THAt will make the Northern Theatre Co-ordination SOOO much easier....

Current plans will allow us to build the Knights Templar in 47 turns from now.

Governor is it possible to speed that along, I mean in 47 turns, the war will most certaintly be over.

I suggest that you check out the detail plans in the city thread. These already assume that all 3 Workers remain improving the city as fast as possible and no more military units are built before the Wonder and that the Knights Templar prebuild is started following a Market and that no entertainers are needed....

It also assumes that we get the 3 techs we need by then (Monotheism, Fuedalism and Chivalry).

One thing that will speed it up is our Golden Age.

Whatever happens, it will not be complete in time for this war.

OH I know that the Templar wont in a ny way possible be built in time for THIS war, I was merely saying that at the moment Northern Theatre Co-ordination is the hardest and will be a TON easier when the Templar is completed and ready to roll, Take your time Governor Furiey, There's no rush.

We should get France on our side, unless Germany declares on us, they would almost certaintly rope in France that turn. Rome and Perisa are also great ideas.

From checking the save, we cannot get France to ally with us - it is "impossible".

It is "impossible" at the moment as we are not yet at war. The AI will not form an alliance against a Civ unless you are already at war with that Civ.

 Can you tell the last time I tried something like that?

I apologize Governor, I merely assumed that 47 turns was if we started it once we could, without pre-builds or anything. With our GA the Knights Templar will be built in no time. BTW, how long would that be?

How much force will be in this offensive?

actually, this offensive did take place already and was completely successful. we took Berlin and killed numerous German units. IIRC, we used 6 swords, 3 horses, and 2 hoplites.
